The economy

Sir, — K. Fea (October 20) holds up those who try to follow Marx and Engels’ experimental programme as making history. They will make history, but it will be of the wrong type of history. It will be one of socialism and repression of the individual’s freedom, including economic freedom. The economic system in which all individuals have a vested interest is free enterprise, as . this system allows each and every one of us to improve our “lot” either in an employee or an employer situation. — Yours, etc.,
