Doubts about future
New Zealand manufacturers are not optimistic about the business prospects in the next six months, according to a Manufacturers’ Federation recent survey of 77 firms. T h i r t y-two • thought there would be a deterio-ration,-18 expected an improvement, while 26 expected no major change.
Liquidity was a major problem for half the respondents, who said it was either strained or severely strained. The findings of .the survey, which the -federation calls its “Business Barometer,” are ,published in the October 20editiOm of the federation’s fortnightly newspaper, “Manufacturer.” ’
