N.Z. postal history
NZPA London An award-winning collection of New Zealand postal history has been sold at auction in London for $114,500. The collection included a letter, sent to England in 1845 giving details of the British attack in the Maori Wars, which sold for $2900. The collection was sold by the stamp auctioneers, Stanley Gibbons, on behalf of the administrators of the estate of the late Adam Hunter, of Invercargill, who died in 1978.
