Girl chosen for school in Greece
NZPA Palmerston North Penny McKay, a Massey University student, has been selected from 200 applications from all over the world to attend an international school in Greece next month. Miss McKay, aged 18, will study Greek history, language, and culture ana be shown the sights in northern Greece, including recent archaelogical discoveries and early Greek drama. The course will be based at Thessaloniki and is organised by the Institute of Balkan Studies. Miss McKay, the daughter of Dr and Mrs lan McKay, of Palmerston North, will travel to Greece with the assistance of a $l2OO Whakatohea Maori Trust fund and New Zealand Safety Council scholarship.
