‘McPhail and Gadsby’
Sir, — Being an avid fan of both David McPhail and Jon Gadsby, I was very disappointed at their performance on last night’s show. I was shocked to think that they would both sink so low as to run down the Christian faith. The whole programme was given over to making fun out of the Bible and of what it says. The name of the programme should have been “Christianity,” not “Religion” because it was all aimed at the Christian faith, not.at any other form of religion. We all have come to expect more from this pair of comedians and I think that we deserve a better quality of programme. Bring back “A Week Of It.” — Yours, etc., STEPHEN W. ADAMS, Sheffield. July. 10, 1980.
