Sir, The New Zealand Red Cross will 1 hold its annual house-to-house ■ appeal today, Thq society needs to raise over 8630,000. Failure will result in, cuts 'in Red Cross services : in New Zealand and overseas. The ’pubi lie may feel that they have already supported Red Cross by giving to the Kampuchea boat appeal. However, this money, given J; in ■ trust - tor specific retief programmes/ is used only: for that purpose, The ability of the society to participateTq relief, such as that being undertaken in Kampuchea. js dependent upon. funds?being available to provide the necessary “back-up.” Donations to the Red Cross Appeal arq needed to support the variety of activities undertaken by the New Zealand.
