Hotel company wound up

Shannon ’ Hotel Investments, ■ Ltd, a company with a nominal capital of $lOOO and a paid up capital of $750, formed to lease the King George Hotel in Madras Street, was wound up on the order of Mr Justice Cook) in the Supreme Court yesterday. The petitioning creditor, Lion Breweries, Ltd, represented by Mr P. D. Woolley, proved a debt of $10,155 against Shannon Hotel Investments, Ltd, for liquor supplied between June and October, 1977.

The petition to wind up Shannon Hotel Investments, Ltd, was supported by Basil A. Fitzpatrick and Company, Ltd, of Rangiora, which claims the company owes it $4618; Canterbury Wine and Spirit Company, Ltd, which

claims a debt of $1877; and Taylors Drycleaning and Laundry . Services, Ltd, which claims a debt of $l3B. Civic Community Developments, Ltd, was Ordered to be wound up on the petition of Hawthorne and Daley, Ltd, builders and contractors, Ltd, in liquidation, which proved a debt of $3991. Mr J. R. Fox appeared for the petitioning creditor. Walmac Trading Company, Ltd, was wound up on the petition of Crazy Grain Treated Timbers, Ltd, of Auckland, woodware manufactures, which proved a debt of $l7BB. The Official Assignee (Mr I. A. Hansen) was appointed provisional liquidator of all companies to be wound up.
