NZPA Chichester, England Evonne Cawley, of Australia, crushed Britain’s Sue Barker, 6-1, 6-4, yesterday to win the Chichester grass court tennis tournament. The former Wimbledon champion took just 61 min to beat the 23-year-old Miss Barker and retain the title she won last year. Mrs Cawley’s victory boosted her confidence for

Her performance yesterday stamped her as a definite contender for this year’s title in spite of having played just seven tournaments since the last Wimbledon.
