Children pulled from house fire

A neighbour smashed in a window to rescue three young chldren from a burning house in Hillmorton late last evening.

One of the children was taken to hospital with bums and lacerations, and the neighbour also suffered minor injuries. The Are, at 19 O’Leary Street, severely damaged one side of the house. The occupants had to stay with neighbours last night.

Detectives are investigating the fire. Fire appliances were called, but the Fire Service refused to release any information afterwards.
