A.A. check fee up

The fee for an Automobile Association standard technical service check in Canterbury will increase from $l2 to $l5 on October 2.

The general manager of the association (Mr E. S. Palliser) said yesterday that the increase was “long overdue,” and was solely to cover direct costs, not overheads. The last increase was on May 1, last year. The new fee already applied in Auckland and Wellington, and to the Canterbury association’s inspection of fleet vehicles, said Mr Palliser.
