No sign of yachtsmen
PA Wellington Two lone yachtsmen who sailed from New Zealand to cross the Tasman are still missing; one has not been sighted for three months, the other for four months. Mr Lloyd George left Nel-i son in his 10m yacht Coppelia on April 8. In spite of extensive air searches and messages to shipping, he has not been seen since. An English yachtsman, Mr Shaun Blatchford, sailed from Whangarei bound for Norfolk Island, Middleton Reef, and Brisbane. The 33-year-old journalist left port in an 8.3 m catamaran on May 8 estimating that the voyage would take him no longer than three weeks.
