Wholesale federation
PA Wellington The various national wholesale trade organisations representing the main' sectors of New Zealand industry have decided to federate into the Wholesale Distributors Council of New Zealand. Mr R. W. Thomas, of ; Christchurch, is chairman of (the council. The council’s aims were to “promote the interests of the wholesale distributing industry in New Zealand and improve liaison between the wholesale distributing industry itself, other sectors of the economy, and the Government.” The federation's interests will include coal, fertilisers, fruit and produce, sports goods,. textiles, drugs, groceries, hardware, radio, television and instruments, wines and spirits, and the agricultural and engineers merchants’ bodies.
