Lister hits 69
NZPA-Reuter Memphis John Lister, of New Zealand, returned a creditable 69 in the first round of the $U5250,000 Danny Thomas Memphis golf classic yesterday. Lister is three strokes behind Mike Morley, who carded a six-under-par 66 to
take a one-stroke lead over Barry Jaeckel. Morley, who has one victory to his credit in nearly eight years on the P.G.A. tour, posted six birdies and no bogeys at the Colonial Country Chib’s course. Severiano Ballesteros, of Spain, was one of nine gol« fers tied on 68.
