Marlborough, Nelson: Showe r s, becoming less frequent about the Sounds,
with improving conditions later in the day, and cool, with moderate southerlies; elsewhere rain clearing, and becoming fine during the day, with light winds; moderate afternoon temperatures. Buller, Westland: Westerlies, freshening slowly in South Westland, with showers elsewhere; rain clearing, and becoming fine during the day, with light winds; moderate afternoon temperatures. Outlook: Mainly fine in Canterbury, showers in Nelson-Marlborough and on the West Coast.
