“unbelievable” rise in costs has been made by the retiring president of the Canterbury’ branch of the United Nations Association (the Rev. J. D. Grocott).

Membership now stands at 149. Trade union members and Roman Catholic priests were the largest groups within the branch, Mr Grocott told the annual meeting.
