Photographer charged
PA Auckland A who will be a witness in a hearing over the nightclub incident involving a former Labour Minister, Mr J. A. Walding, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland charged with theft. Peter Harrison entered no plea to a charge of taking $2249 worth of camera equipment from Illustrated Photography, Ltd, between June 14 and July 23. Mr J. H. Hall, S.M., remanded Harrison to Carrington Hospital until September 27 for a medical examination and report. Harrison has been called to give evidence at a police disciplinary hearing concerning an incident at the Crypt Nightclub in June. He is alleged to have photographed Mr Walding in the company of transvestites.
