Fun for children
The Paparua County Coun- • cil’s holiday activities for children are proving very successful. The community recreation adviser (Mr C. P. Walls) told; the finance committee. that 1100 children had| taken part in the various ; activities in the first week • of the school holidays. Film ' |shows, roller skating, and; j programmes in the Hei Hei • and Prebbleton Halls hadi been the best attended. Mr Walls said that he had: i not been restricted through' ’lack of finance this year, but I now that he had discovered the possibilities with this type of programme, he hoped the council would set money aside in next year’s estimates.
