44 die in club fire
NZPA-Reuter Abidjan A fire in a nightclub killed 44 persons, mostly Europeans, in the Ivory coast capital Abidjan, early yesterday, the police have said. The cause of the blaze in “Le Pacha” nightclub in the centre of Abidjan was not immediately known.
It broke out soon after midnight: and 41 bodies were recovered from the ashes.
