Six men on charge
fN.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Six men jointly charged with manslaughter and injuring with intent appeared before Mr J. B. Bergin, S.M. The charges related to the I death of Laalaa Sione outI side the Edinburgh Castle I Hotel on April 10. i The alleged victim of the injuring with intent charges was Afa Tapuai. AU six were remanded in ' custody until May 24 for the ita’'mg of depositions. ' The Court granted the police leave to withdraw all :but the indictable charges. I Four of the men made api plications for bail which | were refused. This had been i opposed by the police. ; The defendants are aged ■ between 19 and 36.
