Last work

The last work by the Russian composer, Dmitry Shostakovich, a Sonata for Viola and Piano completed just davs before his death in August. has had its premiere in Moscow’s Conservatoire. The viola part was played by Fyodor Druzhinin, the man to whom the work was dedicated. He was accompanied on the piano bv Mikhail Muntyan.—Moscow.
