Hot tips from the T.A.B.
(IV.Z. Press Association) m - HAMILTON. The T.A.B. inadvertently gave punters some hot tips on Wednesday. A race winner at odds of six to one and a $lO5 double were “handed out” at computerised offices throughout the country. The T.A.B.’s “tips” were samples displayed on special posters explaining computerised betting tickets. The two examples used on all the posters showed a ticket on horse number six In race three, and a double ticket on horses five and four. And at the Otakl Maori meeting horse number six, Royal Strike romped home in the third race. Then horses five and four. Sub Indian and Far Post, combined In a $105.55 double. At least two Hamilton punters bat on the T.A.B. samples for a Joke and won the big double. NORTH CANTERBURY RACING CLUB INC.
