Maximum points

Lunar Chance is away to a splendid start in the competition to decide the “ihorse of the year” at Addington Raceway this season.

Lunar Chance gained the possible four points on the two nights of the Metropolitan Trotting Club’s national meeting. He was selected as “horse of the night” by both the public and news media on August 16 and again last Saturday. There are 21 meetings yet to be run at Addington this season so there is plenty of time yet for one or more horses to threaten Lunar Chance’s lead. The Gore-owned and trained five-year-old was having only his twentythird start when he was successful on Saturday. He has been unplaced three times and has recorded 13 wins and seven placings worth $30,560 in stakes.
