Concern over Fury’s Order

("The Press" Special Service) AUCKLAND. Fury’S Order, the Melbourne Cup top.weight, has caused his trainers W. McEwan and L. J. Gestro. of Hawera, some concern during the last day or two but it is hoped he will be fit for Avondale on Saturday. The trouble with Fury’s Order is in his hind quarters and it has caused him to move a bit scratchily. “Something has been worrying him.” McEwan said yesterday. “But we are not sure what.” Once he worked up a bit of speed Fury’s Order seemed to go freely enough in his training vesterday morning. McEwan said the horse would be galloped again on Thursday and if he came through that satisfactorily would be taken north that night.
