Quick win to Tongan

Young Sekona, the Tongan heavy-weight boxing sensation, gained a quick win over George Jeroma, oi Canada, at the Auck land Town Hall on Monday night when Jerome, after a heavy battering, received a cut eye which forced the end of the bout in the fourth round. Jerome’s condition was nowhere near good enough. As tile 6ft lin French-Mohawk Indian entered the ring there were cries of “timber,” and “come back when you’re fit.” By the second round the Tongan had Jerome cornered and hit him almost at will with his lightning, flicking left. Sekona found Jerome’s face repeatedly with his left and one or two hard rights had the big man cowering in his own corner. In the fourth round Jerome was at Sekona’s mercy. Within a few seconds of the end of the round the referee stopped the fighting and examined a cut on Jerome’s forehead. After an examination of Jerome by a doctor. Sekona’s arm was raised in victory.
