Fishing rivers
! The Ashley River, usually ' fishable, was discoloured yesterday, according to the (North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society. The Waiau ißiver was clear, but low, and the Hurunui River was very slightly discoloured. At its mouth, the Waimakariri River was dear and fishable, but it was dirty at the gorge. The Selwyn River was clear and fishable, as was the Rakaia mouth south side, but ■the north side was discoloured, and the river was dirty ■at the gorge.
