More than $l00 given

More’ than $lOO has now been given to the appeal fund for Mrs N. Moncur, of Christchurch, whose husband died on Sunday from injuries suffered in a bomb explosion at Los Angeles Airport last week. The appeal was opened last Thursday evening by Mrs Moncur’s employer, Growers Direct Market, Yaldhurst Road, Riccarlon. There have been gifts from customers, workmates, and neighbours. The appeal organiser and manager of Growers Direct Market (Mr T. D. McClintock) said that the appeal was “going along quietly.” On Friday, 40 persons sent in gifts. The money will be used to meet travelling expenses. Mrs Moncur flew to Los Angeles on Thursday to be with her husband.
