Handbag with $200 stolen
A handbag containing a bank book, watch and a pay packet with $2OO in cash was stolen from the woman attendant’s room at the Christchurch Railway Station yesterday. A television set, a cassette, and records worth a total of $760 were stolen from a house in Nursery Road, Linwood, during the week-end. A house in Mackworth Street, also in Linwood, was burgled and a television set and two cassettes worth $369 taken.
Tool kits and two truck batteries valued at $4OO were stolen from a yard in Dyers Road, Bromley, and a clock and radio to a value of $205 were taken from a house in Mcßeath Avenue, Hoon Hay.
