Land-lease for homes?

WELLINGTON, May 22
The Government would consider leasing land to young home-seekers with a right to purchase at a later stage, said the Under-Secre-tary of Labour (Mr Isbey) today. “This scheme could form a very important part in our housing policy but obviously many factors affect the supply and purchase arrangements.”
Adequate finance was a key factor, Mr Isbey said. “The Government will make sufficient finance available to purchase land and ensure a continuity programme in building contracts.”
Motor-racing. — Indonesia plans to stage a motor-racing grand prix in Djakarta in July, with drivers from Australia New Zealand, and possibly Britain competing.
