Mount Cook Airlines has ordered from the United States its second 11-seater Grumman Goose, which will enter into service with the company’s Auckland-based amphibian fleet in August. It will be used on scheduled and charter flights around the Hauraki Gulf, and also to supplement flights to the Bay of Islands made by the company’s first Grumman Goose (above). The airline intends to phase out gradually its five-seater Widgeons and to replace them with the more economical 11-seater.
