The Duke of Edinburgh will attend the Commonwealth Games sessions this morning, after travelling by car from the Royal yacht Britannia at Lyttelton.

He will also attend afternoon sessions except for when he goes to the Games village for lunch with the competitors, at 12.30 p.m. At 4.45 p.m. the Duke will arrive at the Clarendon Hotel, and he will leave for the Christchurch Town Hall at 5.25 p.m. to attend the reception to be given by the Prime Minister (Mr Kirk) for Games competitors and officials. Afterwards Prince Philip will again attend the Games before returning to the Britannia.
