Games man pulls out

The runner, P. Banning, has withdrawn from the British team for the Commonwealth Games in Christchurch this month because of injury. Banning, who was to have contested the 1500 metres, has been hampered in recent weeks by a knee injury and after a final trial on Friday night he decided his form 1 was not good enough to warrant the trip. British officials said no i substitute would be named. 1
