AUCKLAND.

Edwin Harry Bayliss, aged 62. a wages clerk, was found guilty by a jury in the Supreme Court at Auckland of 20 charges of theft as a servant. Mr Justice Henry remanded him for sentence.

Bayliss had pleaded not guilty to stealing more than $B4OO between February', 1972. and February, 1973, while employed by the Waterfront Industry Commission at Mount Maunganui.

v The foreman told the Court that the jury wished to ex- : press its strong concern about the Mount Maunganui commission’s lack of adequate payment methods, lack of adequate security and lack of adequate accounting pro-’ cedures.
