Two players injured
Christchurch United had two players taken to hospital after the double-header with New Brighton at English Park on Saturday. In the clash of the clubs’ reserve sides, M. McNaughton was carried off the field with a susSected broken ankle. Later, in ie last minute of the national league game, J. Oliver was helped off with a suspected dislocated shoulder. _ , X-rays at Christchurch Hospital, however revealed that the early fears were unfounded. McNaughton was found to have a severe spraining and returned to the park with the help of crutches, and Oliver had severe bruising
