STOKE ENDS TOUR
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. Stoke City, of the English first division, gave another dazzling display of football to outclass Otago-Southland, 8-1, in its final New Zealand 'tour match in Dunedin on Saturday, the striker, John Ritchie, scoring seven goals. Honest effort for OtagoSouthland came from D. Barker, in the midfield, the back four of M. Muir, P. Wilson, P. Dick and N. Bennet, and the side’s scorer, J. Richardson.
i The former England World Cup goalkeeper, Gordon Banks, played in goal for the home side in the second half and brought off some fine saves from Stoke’s play, much of which was directed from his blind side. The score was 4-0 at haff time, and more than 4000 people watched.
