Stop Out’s match with Caversham, which was postiponed because of the OtagoSouthland game with Stoke City on Saturday, will be played later in the season. W.D.U. exposed its defence to breakaway attacks while concentrating on an all-up attack in the second ha*C and Campbell took swift advantage of the chances offered to him.
Mount Wellington came from a goal down to Eastern Suburbs yesterday to win, 2-1, and join Stop Out on eight points—four behind United. With the score one each at half-time, the Mount went on to the attack in the second half and E. Thomas got the winning goal with a header 12 minutes from the end. DEFENSIVE LAPSES
Gisborne City proved too strong in defence and too fast in attack for Wellington City yesterday, and well deserved a clear-cut, 3-0, victory. Wellington’s defensive lapses allowed Gisborne to score once in the first half and twice in the second.
The eighth-round matches next week-end are:—Saturday: Wellington City v. United, Mount Wellington v. W.D.U. Sunday: Brighton v. Stop Out, Caversham v. Suburbs, Blockhouse v. Gisborne.
