Matheson to play again
i (Special Crspdt. N.Z PA) LONDON. The injured All Black prop. I.L D. Matheson, intends to (resume his Rugby career at (the start of the 1973 New Zealand season. Yesterday, he denied a report that his (rib injuries were so serious (that he would never play (again. : “I will definitely be playing next year,” he said. “There is no question of my "(not playing. I expect to be üback in the game in three months, in time for the fes- - (rival games in March.” i Matheson is being cared qfor by his wife, Jacki, a .(trained nurse, otherwise he ; would still be in hospital. He iis still in considerable disIcomfort and will be having (pain-killing injections for a .(further 10 days. , No decision on when he > will return home has been made. Air travel is out of the r question at present. r His replacement, the ■ Wanganui prop. A. L. R. Mc- ■ Nichol, is scheduled to arrive in Cardiff on Saturday.
