The over-all standard of play in the third day of play at the national snooker championships at Oamaru con» tinued to improve yesterday, with most of the early games going to the limit of five frames S Moffitt (North Otago) who was extended to five frames before beating the young Taranaki player, P. Mischefski, on Tuesday, was beaten, 3-2, by D. Dean, of Manawatu. Results:—
