It is hoped that the appointee can take in duty early in 1973. The Professor will be expected to plan and implement a course of study leading to a new master’s degree in Administrative Studies. The proposed degree, which is intended to give graduate instruction in management at an advanced level, will be oriented towards the needs of both the public and private sectors but will have special reference to the former. The University expects that the course of study for the degree will be concerned with a wide range of quantitative and behavioural academic disciplines and their application to government and business; the emphasis will be on the processes of decision-making and the use of economic analysis. The salary for the post is $A15,369 per annum. The University provides reasonable travel and removal expenses and assistance with housing.
