Trust hotels conference

The New Zealand Licensing Trusts’ Association’s sixteenth annual conference will be officially opened in Ashburton by the Minister of Justice (Sir Roy Jack).

The three-day conference will be attended by about 80 delegates from licensing trusts throughout New Zealand, and about 40 wives. The host licensing trust for the conference is the Mataura District Trust, Southland, but this trust decided to make Ashburton the venue because of the more adequate accommodation. and also because the conference was held in the south last year, at Balclutha. Entertainment will include a dance evening in Bavarian costume on Saturday.
