Men beaten and robbed
<N_Z. Prt»s Auociationl AUCKLAND, December 28. Two men were assaulted and robbed in separate-inci-dents in Auckland yesterday. The police said today that an Ellerslie man who was having a drink in the South Pacific Hotel yesterday was assaulted in the lavatory by three Polynesians in their early twenties. The man was struck about the face and $8 was taken from his pocket A Glen Eden man left a hotel last night with two men and a woman to attend a party in Ponsonby, where he was beaten and $l5O taken. He was taken to hospital with facial and head injuries and was reported to be a little better today.
