Soroptomist Club party

When the Soroptimist Club of Christchurch held its Christmas party last evening, members lit two candles for sister clubs in 47 countries. More than 60 members of the Christchurch and RangioreKaiapoi clubs and their guests attended the party at Elizabeth House. Members wore paper hats depicting the job category they represent in the dub, and Mr W. Seelig showed films on the Antarctic.

For blanket appeal—The Soroptimist Club of Christchurch raised $67 for the United Nations Children’s Fund appeal for blankets for the Pakistani refugees in India. This was announced at the club’s luncheon meeting yesterday.
