OBITUARY

Mr W. A. White

Mr Wilfred Athelstane White, who died on Monday, was an active figure in Canterbury racing a few years ago. He was on the committee of the Canterbury Jockey Club for some years, and raced several gallopers, some of them with fair success. Mr White was one of the early clients of the Riccarton trainer, J. C. Tomkinson, and horses to represent this combination included Emissary, Moonbeam, Sunbeam, Atreus, Notary, and Tombola.
