VALUATIONS PENDING

The Valuation Department expects to issue new valuations for Lyttelton Borough next month.

The manager of the Christchurch office (Mr V. R. Aitken) said that Lyttelton would the the first of 10 new sets of valuations issued during the remainder of the financial year. The department has almost completed the valuation of the Mount Herbert county and will issue the valuations late in September. Inspections in the Runanga borough and Oxford County are well advanced and valuations should be ready late in October.

The largest urban valuation this year is Timaru city where new values will be issued to property owners late in October or the first week in November.

Riccarton Borough values will also be released in November and those for Hokitika, Eyre, Akaroa and Geraldine counties early next year.
