WIGRAM HONOURS NEW DEPUTY CHIEF OF AIR STAFF.—Air Commodore E. C. Gartrell, ospecting a guard of honour at the Royal New Zealand Air Force base, Wigram, yesterday on relinquishing command of the R.N.Z.A.F. Training Group to become Deputy Chief of Air Staff. The guard commander is Flight Lieutenant H. H. Francis. Air Commodore Gartrell has had an association with Wigram dating from 1948, when he was a flying instructor at the base.
