Art workshop winners

Three secondary school pupils from the Christchurch educational district have been selected to attend a residential art workshop which will be conducted by the National Bank in Wellington from May 16 to 22.

They are Jacqueline Newban (Riccarton High School), Nicola Mannering (Craighead Diocesan School )and Grant Gallagher (Lincoln High School). These pupils will join others selected from throughout New Zealand and spend a week working in the visual arts under the tuition of Mr J. Drawbridge and Miss K. Coolahan, from Wellington, and Mr R. Hotere, from Dunedin.

The manager of the Christchurch branch of the National Bank (Mr W. J. Prentice) said that the selection had required 10 selection panels; and the bank was grateful for the support it had received from the Department of Education, school principals and art teachers.
