Launching delayed
(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, April 20. The launching date of the Rangatira, originally set for next Monday, has been postponed because of a fitters’ strike at the shipbuilding yards. Union Company officials, however, hope that the dispute will be settled soon. Delivery date for the ship is late in October. The 9100-ton vessel is being built for the steamer express service, as a replace- ' ment for the wrecked Wahine, at the Walker yard of Swan Hunter Shipbuilders, Ltd, at Newcastle on-Tyne. *
