NEW AUSTRALIAN PRIMATE.—The Archbishop of Melbourne (the Most Rev. Frank Woods) photographed after his recent election, in Sydney, as Primate of the Church of England in Australia. He succeeds the Most Rev. Sir Philip Strong, who retired last year as Primate and Arhbishop of Brisbane. Archbishop Woods, who has held the See of Melbourne since 1957, is well known in Christchurch. He is a brother of Archdeacon S. E. Woods.
