Medical Aid Abroad
Sir,—Under the heading, “St Bede’s Campaign,” you kindly gave publicity to our venture. However, we are acting under the auspices of Medical Aid Abroad. This organisation is now a national one, with committees in the four main centres. It was founded in Christchurch in 1965 and is an interdenominational organisation which helps medical centres of all types throughout South-East Asia, India, Melanesia, Oceania, and the Pacific. We are grateful for the, encouragement of M.A.A. and in particular for pointing out the tremendous need for antitubercular drugs in New Guiiiea. It is this particular cause that we hope to benefit—Yours, etc., CARL TELFORD, Chairman, M.A.A., St Bede’s, August 20,1970.
