FIRE IN FLUE

A spark from a leather trimmer at Regent Footwear, at the corner of Tuam Street and Madras Street, about 10.56 a.m. yesterday ignited dust in the extractor flue.

Workmen using hand extinguishers and bucket pumps had the fire out when the three machines from headquarters station arrived. Damage to the extractor was slight.
