New F.W.D. Truck

A new four-wheel-drive truck has been announced in Britain by Vauxhall Motors, Ltd. The Bedford M-type was developed to the specification of the British armed forces, and replaces the Bedford R-type trucks. At present, the new model is being used only by the armed services, but a civilian version will be produced later this year. The vehicle has many parts in common with its predecessor, to aid servicing, but is said to bring advances in off-the-road performances, stability, cab design and payload.
